Welcome to Obsidian Bookshelf. Hello, book fans.  Creaking into motion once more, I offer you a new book review this week: Vintage by Steve Berman.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy what you find.

What type of website is this?  Here I offer book reviews, commentary, and free instruction in how to write in the genres of Fantasy and Romance. My Romance material focuses mostly on homoerotic fiction (m/m) in all genres.  I also feature some lesbian fiction (f/f).  Lastly, I dip my toe in the vast Romance (m/f) genre, otherwise known as traditional romance novels, exploring whatever sub-genres catch my interest.  Feel free to browse in the area that suits you (see the Site Map).

This Week's Fiction Review. 

Vintage by Steve Berman. This is a pitch-perfect novel about a 17 year-old boy living in a small town in New Jersey with his favorite aunt after suffering a rough coming-out to his hateful parents.  Little does he know that he's developed the ability to be a medium and communicate with ghosts, among them an attractive boy who died under mysterious circumstances in 1957.  Join our hero and his fascinatingly realistic goth/emo friends as he explores his psychic talent and searches for true love.
